The China, Russia and India meeting in New Delhi on Thursday is a good step for close neighbors of Afghanistan, to play a constructive role in the stabilization of Afghanistan.

A constructive role of this process will be if the three sides support and sponsor direct negotiation through the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) between Kabul Government and the armed opposition groups of Taliban, Hekmatyar and Haqani's based in Pakistan. It is critically important that Pakistan and Iran are excluded from these negotiations in order to bring regional stability.
